Under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Misr University for Science and Technology, Prof. Hala El-Menoufy, President of the University, and Prof. Emad Khalil, Vice President for Community Service and EnvironmentalDevelopment, the Community Research and Studies Committee within the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, headed by Prof. Sahar Hassan Ahmed, organized the First Forum for Volunteering and Community Innovation, in cooperation with the Ambassadors of Voluntary Work for Sustainable Development Foundation.
The forum was held as part of the activation of the cooperation protocol between both parties, and in coordination with the Knowledge Center at the university, in support of MUST’s role in volunteering initiatives, enhancing students’ skills in creativity and innovation, and strengthening their community awareness in ways that contribute to serving society and achieving sustainable development goals.
The event witnessed remarkable participation from university students and several faculty members. It included a variety of activities aimed at promoting the culture of volunteering, encouraging youth creativity, presenting examples of innovative community-based initiatives with positive impact, in addition to holding introductory sessions on mechanisms of participation and institutional voluntary work.
This forum reflects the university’s leading social role and its continuous efforts to empower youth and support initiatives that serve the community and contribute to sustainable development in alignment with the university’s vision.
